My 8 Reasons Why: My Journey To Why Being in Sales is the Best Job of All

I made this post in order to share to you my 8 reasons why Sales is the best job of all. Actually, I'm sure that there aren't a lot of people who aspires to be a "Salesman". I know this simply because I was one of them before. I took "sales" due to desperation, I had no other choice! It was either I pick this job and live with it or go back to my home country. I never knew that it was a choice that would change my life, FOREVER.

Reason 1: Sales taught me RESILIENCE

I couldn't count the number of times I have failed and missed my targets or was not able to close a sale. There were even times that I would just close my eyes and ask myself why I even started. But instead of putting myself down, I took it as a challenge! A chance to showcase my ability to go above and beyond myself. So for every time a door closed, it just meant that I'm about to smack open another!

Reason 2: Sales gave me CONFIDENCE

I knew I was a talker myself but to be in front of a client is a different scenario. The confidence that I have in myself right now is from the training and experience I gained by being in front of the customer every time. Confidence to be able to speak fully your thoughts and suggestions so that they may further elevate their company's competitive advantage.

Reason 3: Sales made me more CARING

Sure, customers buy from you because they needed your product but they would stay as your loyal customers simply because you cared for them. I always thought of my customers first! I made sure that the customer would be able to receive their items on time. I would be on the phone often, monitoring the location of their item and would report directly to the clients.

Reason 4: Sales made me TRUSTWORTHY

That's the effect of my previously mentioned reason. The more you care, the more that you would be exerting extra effort in order to provide quality service as a Sales Executive. In this regard, you create an image of trust which in turn create clients who would continue to patronize you and your company. Having a trustworthy nature created a brand image of "nurture" which speaks a lot about yourself as an individual outside of work

Reason 5. Sales brought me to PLACES

This is true especially for a lot of companies out there. Because of my job as a Salesman I was able to visit numerous places, both local and international. Moreover, it gave me lots of opportunities to attend events and exhibits which opens up my mind to new ideas and innovations. It made me realize that the world is a very big place that is meant to be explored.

Reason 6: Sales brought opportunities to be PATIENT

I could still remember that time where I had to have numerous meetings and discussions with the client in order to make sure that they are able to get the best out of their purchase. Some deal would take weeks or even months before you are able to close them, yet you have to remain patient and understanding that your clients are businesses that are looking for the best value for their money. I got to enjoy the journey with them which enhanced the level of patience I had.

Reason 7: Sales made me more INNOVATIVE

Sometimes you have to be really crafty in order to sell your products. Sales was the one that enabled me to think outside the box, this is not only on getting orders but especially on times of problems and issues as well. Being innovative was a key success factor in a salesman!

Reason 8: Sales taught me HUMILITY and AMBITION

Sales people struggle every day in order to secure an order of which they could possibly get a commission or their next pay check. This hustle has made us simpler human beings who are just out there to simply live in the moment. Thinking of your customers first, giving the best possible products, working yourself to exhaustion for the next paycheck, all these are things we salesman face everyday. A smack in our reality that we are to remain humble in our actions, but continuously be ambitious in reaching our goal, our next sale, our next opportunity to be better.

How about you? Would you try SALES?😁
