Four Seasons of Sales

Image
Just as every morning, my mom would always send us her daily bible readings for us to read and reflect on. And as I read on, I shared to her my recent experiences these past few days as I have not been home recently due to personal reasons. However she shared to me some insightful thoughts that I'd like to share to you today. That in every life, no matter where you are, you will always experience what we call "Seasons". Though for most Asians, we'd only get to experience either wet or dry seasons but nonetheless we get to realize that we experience a personal season cycles. Something we've watched... Most definitely, you've either seen it on TV or through the internet, you've seen the 4 seasons that some certain places go through: Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring. I do believe that each individuals go through such a cycle as well, people such as in Sales are included as well. Seasons are periods or moments in our sales year where we feel both t

A work in progress: All will be alright in Time

It has always been a goal of mine to be successful in life as shown in my previous blog . It's like a part of my DNA that calls me to find all the necessary means and ways to achieve success. I was addicted to it! That euphoric feeling of pride and bliss from seeing those around you being very happy of your achievements. But it was also empty at the same time. I was so focused on the "idea" of being successful that I ended up too engrossed in my search that I was filled with stress and anxiety from over exerting myself just to show that I am capable, that I am already "there".  I believe that being connected over social media has made us "disconnected" with ourselves. We tend to see more the life of others and compare it with how mediocre our lives came to be. We're following all these "influencers" and "idols" thinking that their luxurious lifestyle and unseemly "problem-free" life should be our standard. With

It is true that working in Sales is rewarding , whether it may be financial or emotional. However, it is not all sunshine rainbows when you're working in this side of the business. I couldn't even fathom the number of times I wanted to give up this work and try something else. I knew that I still had some time to get out and start a new life in another career, however, there was something about sales that kept on calling me back 😅 So let me share to you the Five Different Challenges that Sales people face. Challenge 1: Achieving Quotas and Sales Goals As in any job, there are also performance indicators in the field of sales. For those working in the quality department, it's the number of qualified products and lowered rate of reject products, in the finance department would be the increased amount of collected customer payments or the lowered company debts that must be paid for. Same goes with Sales, we have what we call "Quotas". At the beginning of

My 8 Reasons Why: My Journey To Why Being in Sales is the Best Job of All

I made this post in order to share to you my 8 reasons why Sales is the best job of all. Actually, I'm sure that there aren't a lot of people who aspires to be a "Salesman". I know this simply because I was one of them before. I took "sales" due to desperation, I had no other choice! It was either I pick this job and live with it or go back to my home country. I never knew that it was a choice that would change my life, FOREVER. Reason 1: Sales taught me RESILIENCE I couldn't count the number of times I have failed and missed my targets or was not able to close a sale. There were even times that I would just close my eyes and ask myself why I even started. But instead of putting myself down, I took it as a challenge! A chance to showcase my ability to go above and beyond myself. So for every time a door closed, it just meant that I'm about to smack open another! Reason 2: Sales gave me CONFIDENCE I knew I was a talker myself but to b
